Design Practice Location:
Inspe’s chief activity is the sale of dental equipment and the majority of clients who visit this building are dentists. With this in mind, the designer wanted to create an interior that was fundamentally different to the typical interiors found in medical environments; at the same time the designer wanted the design to feel daring but also comfortable and elegant. The interior was opened out and the levels of the windows lowered while indirect lighting was used to illuminate the space. Metallic elements, planting and artistic graffiti were all used to decorate the interior. The exterior of the 1970s Soviet building was updated with traditional stucco to refresh its external appearance.
