Design Practice Location:
The owners of this London townhouse wanted a visually exciting approach for their unusually shaped master bedroom and bathroom while retaining a feeling of space. The design centres around a curved wall clad in panels of acid-etched steel behind a bespoke walnut bed that appears to float. Unique pieces such as a wall hanging made from the wool of Hebridean sheep above a sculptured ply bench were commissioned to add interesting shapes and texture to the room. In the ensuite bathroom, the focal point is a stunning fossilised Orthoceras mounted on the back wall of the shower. Other design details include a bespoke wall-hung Corian vanity unit with marble basin, an Agape bath with Dornbracht brassware and dark, textured wallpaper either side of the mirror to add contrast against the white polished plaster floor and walls. The overall effect is a sense of space with interesting pieces placed strategically throughout.
