Design Practice Location:
The main aim of the project was to utilise the open space as efficiently as possible while preserving the existing natural elements, fitting the functions between them. Creating an open space while keeping the some of the exiting elements, including the floor stones and creating a new contemporary look at the same time was the main challenge of this project. The definition of the space was created with the wooden frames around the courtyard with fitted curtains. The cocktail bar was designed as a space within a space, with its own timber pergola structure also providing some shade. The second challenge of the project was to create a space that would look equally beautiful and inspiring during the day and at night; shiny copper stools add to the luxurious feeling without feeling too exaggerated during the day.
