Design Practice Location:
This striking kitchen has high gloss Macassar ebony veneer cabinetry with inset crocodile handles. In the centre is a large, dramatic asymmetrical U-shaped island with floating arms supported by stone legs, adding lightness to this impressive piece. Slotting through one of the stone supports is a raised wooden breakfast bar with inset back-lit glass strip. The other arms contain a hob, teppanyaki, and downdraft extractors, plus covered sink with pull-up tap. Tall units form an L-shape around the walls, wrapped by black high gloss posts, which emphasise the contrast between walls and cabinetry. The breakfront coffee bar has a built-in coffee machine and Quooker taps. The cooking and refrigeration zone features a comprehensive range of Gaggenau appliances. The island is positioned so that anyone in the kitchen can keep an eye on children in the indoor pool while using the space.
