Design Practice Location:
For this store project for T2, the Australian tea brand, the main challenge was to address how best to arrange over 200 different types of tea in a visually pleasing and easy-to-navigate way. The store is designed to showcase and celebrate the tradition of tea by creating a library and cataloguing the brand’s extensive range of teas according to type. Adhering to T2’s established retail format, the UK iteration also offers an immersive sensory experience, with tea-tasting stations and aroma tables which give customers hands-on interaction with the products. Mirrored ceilings provide a dynamic component overhead, breaking from the physical structure and reflecting the activity within the store. This creates an unfolding of the ‘mysteries and magic’ of tea and is an important part of the store’s evolution.
