Design Practice Location:
The ground-floor public area contains an outdoor rock waterfall wall and living wall as well as an indoor bar area, which is furnished with natural stone and wood elements. For the swimming pool and spa, the designer has brought the indoor space into the outdoor environment by installing a grille ceiling that fills the inner space with natural light. The concept of ‘the beauty of inconsistency’ is evoked with a polished stone floor and coarse stone walls. The configuration of the stones reflects the patterns made by flowing water and swirling steam while the travertine from Iran creates horizontal patterning on the walls.
On the top floor of the building, an arc-shaped space is lit by an impressive oval ceiling light which magnifies the whole area. Cutting-edge audio equipment creates different atmospheres while the walls are lined with sound-absorbing foam and leather to create a space that is comfortable and relaxing.
