Design Practice Location:
The design references The Peach Blossom Spring, a text by the great poet Tao Yuan Ming and infuses the nature-inspired space with calm and a feeling of ease. In the kitchen, black steel references Nakajima kitchenware while geometric shapes bring simplicity to the space. In the dining room, smoky glass and lighting creates an evening sky effect while circular shapes echo the shape of the dining table. Around the home, outlines of trees and leaves and lighting design conjure up the sense of being at one with nature. Gentle gradation of colour brings a further sense of calm to the space and allows the rooms connect to one another in this comfortable and quiet home.
