Design Practice Location:
In the tango dance, the music is counted in a 2/4 time signature but played using four eighth notes. The rhythmic beats are like splitting cells that grow from one to two, two to four and so on, until new life is formed. This was the inspiration behind the design concept for this medical centre which specialises in reproductive health. At the lobby entrance, small globes glow here and there, as if life is beginning, before spreading across the space in a joyful and melodic curve as they lead visitors into the space. All the services at the centre are connected in a cyclic flow, like a dance arena where tango never ends to give a feeling of a celebration of life.
