Design Practice Location:
This fabulous family apartment is situated by the River Nile, the pulse of Egypt. A young family of four wanted a luxurious yet simple, subtle and practical space. The property is around 290 square metres, divided into a reception area with clear glass windows showing the beautiful Nile view. A customised bar cabinet with brass sheets welcomes you as you enter the space and is complemented by designer Nihal Zaki’s masterpiece: the Magnet Banquette, which divides into four mini banquettes only to regroup again using hidden magnets. The sofas, all the furniture and Asian fusion wall panels have been tailored to match the pièce-de-resistance of the house: the Golden Tibet Panel. The dining room is a subtle Art Deco concept in black and white with beautiful paintings by contemporary Egyptian artists.A Murano-glass chandelier welcomes you as you enter the house. This is eclecticism at its best.
