Design Practice Location:
Transforming two 3,000 square-foot levels of an iconic Pacific Northwest West tower into a single, one-of-a-kind 6,000 square-foot waterfront residence presented no lack of challenges. The clients’ primary directive was that it could be done in the first place; if a means to install a feature staircase through the post-tensioned slab, joining entertainment and bedroom levels was not feasible, there would have been no purpose to continue with the project. Once this directive was proved out, the charge moving forward was to plan and execute every facet of the project with utmost attention to detail, maintain a timeless and tailored balance of features, providing a full AC & HRV system to the residence within a minimal 9-inch plenum, achieving a minimum ceiling height of 8 foot throughout. The end result surpassed the clients’ expectations and the lengthy process of the build was deemed well worth the wait. Good things take time.
