Design Practice Location:
Vintage industrial meets the 1960s in this new workplace concept in the heart of London. The brief was to create a relaxed, stylish business environment that would appeal to the new-age city entrepreneur and bring a relaxed industrial vibe to the square mile. Highlights include a new podium extension with a poured concrete amphitheatre staircase, a buzzing members’ club, three roof terraces (one with a gin bar and hot tub) and a basement bike club which can be accessed from street level by bike.
Bespoke joinery creates functional spaces throughout the scheme while a high-end feel is achieved through character finishes and luxury fittings. Soft furnishings add warmth and create a relaxed atmosphere with a combination of aged leather, corduroy and plush velvet. Furniture is ‘lived in’ and the colour palette is consistent throughout – there is a balance of raw materials such as concrete, steel and aged oak.
