For this high-end store, which carries apparel and accessories, the theme of ‘Seamless & Warm’ was used as a concept, underpinned by the notion of traditional Japanese beauty. The design brings a three-dimensional effect to the space, through the configuration of a hexagon, applied through diagonal lines to the floor plan. A lattice effect used through the design creates a gentle but powerful impression for the customer. The back wall is composed of four large areas which create different effects but are united through their design. Hard maple wood, which is uncommon, is utilised for racking and allows the scheme to function like a work of art; this also moves the display furniture beyond the idea of a standard showcase. Overall, the aim was to create a one-of-a-kind space, which has an impression of lightness and depth.
