Design Practice Location:
Decorated with wooden veneer, plants and classic shop signs, the café exterior embodies lively and eye-catching American style decor. At the entrances stand two alluring black columns decorated with yellow triangular ironworks, placed upside down. To achieve the best traffic flow, given the original architectural structure, the designer created an elevated dining area in the rear. Meanwhile, the metal racks, sited between the front and rear, broaden the visual scope and support just the right amount of sunlight in the space. The loft-style design embellished with a range of decorations and colours manifests energy. Especially appealing is the wall painted by Dutch artists, which depicts scenes and cultures typical of Kaohsiung City.
