Conversion of the Former Birth Place of Joseph Rowntree

The developer LSG purchased 10 Pavement in 2018 and employed the services of Carly Barry of Carly Agnes to vision the overall concept design for the conversion of the building. The brief was to create a design that was sympathetic to the period of the property while considering the conservation of the building, with an emphasis placed on luxury and detailed finishes. The building had fallen in to a state of disrepair over the years and was virtually derelict when purchased. Stonehouse Projects was appointed as the main contractor for the development. As the building is Grade II Listed, everything that was included at the time of the listing had to be retained, refurbished and brought back to its former glory. It required painstaking checks and the skills and craftsmanship of many professionals.
