Fitzroy Residence

Studio Nine Architects were commissioned to design the interior of the new luxury home to be cohesive with the existing environment of two distinctly different types of architecture. Working closely with the client, the brief was to deliver an exemplar family home that sensitively balances opulence with the sense of belonging. The palette of materials was contained to three; marble, stone and timber, harmonious with the external fabrication and complementary to the contrasting classic and contemporary feel of the spaces. The inclusion of modern-day light fittings throughout enhanced this coherence, balancing the ornate and meticulous detailing of the wall panelling. The outcome of the project first and foremost delivers a family home which is equally well suited to entertaining and showcasing depth and intrigue through the internal programming and careful attention to detail.
