Marriott Budapest ‘The Great Room’

An open-lobby Marriott hotel ‘Great Room’ space that is modern with residential details. The newly refurbished space comprises of reception, lobby, lounge and introduces the new Marriott ‘disruptive bar’ concept. An open free-standing bar that is central to the lounge and allows both guests and staff to circulate around comfortably. Transforming throughout the day from morning coffee and pastry service to afternoon cocktails in a relaxed lobby environment in the afternoon and evening. Hungary’s most renowned Bauhaus designer, Marcel Breuer, and iconic artist Laszlo Moholy-Nagy have inspired the refined-yet-elaborate decorative screens positioned throughout the space. The screens are integrated as an artistic architectural element in the space, and comfortably zone cozy areas without shutting off other areas.
