Design Practice Location:
Zaha Hadid Architects was commissioned to create a suite of private offices for the client to host corporate meetings, collaborators and guests. The space was divided into zones with different degrees of privacy, from the reception and waiting areas, a board room for meetings, private office and meeting room, dining room and a personal zone. The interiors reflect the client’s deep appreciation for natural materials in a variety of textures, integrated within a single, seamless space that explores the rich materiality of wood and the fluidity of mercury. From the lift, a continuous walnut surface to the right leads visitors through the suite of offices. To the left, a light metallic finish with more expressive qualities frames the reception, waiting and security areas as well as the boardroom. The private office is in the interior for contemplation, with darker woods that include sculptural shelving and stone flooring with metal accents.
