Primo Piano Fitness

Primo Piano Fitness is spread over two floors, and comprises an entrance area, gym, a lounge area with a corner bar, a room for courses and a wellness area made up of a swimming pool and spa. The client was looking for a design solution that would ‘disappear’ the imposing freight elevator that dominated the building, which had been disused for more than 10 years. The design solution for the lift went on to become the kernel of the design project. The ground floor hosts the reception and the offices, separated by a smoked glass partition that creates an appealing semi-transparent effect. The door through to the wellness area is adjacent to a six-metre-high mirror wall that reflects one of the most striking, distinctive elements of the ground floor, the lift.
