Taj Banqueting

Taj Banqueting is a contemporary wedding and events space that has taken shape from all the clichés one would come to expect when referencing India.  The design team began the journey with a famous quote from legendary fashion editor Diana Vreeland who said: “Pink is the navy blue of India”. To create an entertaining space, the designers visually referenced the marble of the Taj Mahal, the colours of Rajasthani Royal Court and the Kundan work jewels of the Mughal era. Stage sets are a key focal point to any Asian wedding and the designers took a contemporary approach by incorporating digital projector screens similar to those used on popular TV shows such as Dancing on Ice. The visuals were bought to life by using software from Rhino 3D, V-Ray for sketching, SketchUp and Adobe Photoshop. The resulting images communicate the glamour and theatre one would expect for an Asian wedding.
