Honouring the building’s original architecture, The Dewberry boasts a façade of lime-washed brick by vintage marble and metal works adorning the entry canopy, ballroom roof and rooftop function space. Simplistic, yet lush landscaping gives way to a romantic 2,250 sq. ft. walled-in Charleston garden, an authentic reimagining of this more traditional design element with bluestone walkways perfect for special events. Once inside, visitors are embraced by a home-grown combination of time tested materials of the South, where the space’s clean lines are flawlessly softened by elegant finishes of cherry, mahogany, oak and walnut woods as well as hand-crafted custom and curated period furnishings. An homage to the buildings heritage, a massive Water Oak tree that once stood abreast of the former Federal Building finds new life as stunning cachepots for orchids throughout the space as well as a stunning sculpture table situated in a great outdoor gathering space.
