The Field House

The brief for this country house was to consolidate the owners’ existing furniture with their love of ‘hygge’. Inspired by the surrounding countryside, the colours, textures and materials that make up the design draw reference from the four seasons and nature. The project was designed with sustainable values in mind – first considering what the client already owned, re-purposing what could be incorporated into the design and only sourcing new when necessary. The products and tradesmen were locally sourced wherever possible and a strong preference for natural and recycled materials was employed – such as rugs made from recycled plastic bottles and 100% natural fibre fabrics.

We also commissioned some bespoke stone lamps and lampshades to be especially handmade for the project, and the focal points are the beautiful bespoke headboard panelling and headboards we designed.
