TWA Hotel

Designed by world-renowned architect Eero Saarinen and opened in 1962, the TWA Flight Center was built for Trans World Airlines by Howard Hughes, epitomising the glamour and optimism of the Jet Age. After its closing in 2001, MCR and MORSE Development restored the treasured 216,000-square-foot building into the heart of the TWA Hotel in May 2019. Restoring the beloved building (a project led by Beyer Blinder Belle Architects), constructing two brand new hotel wings behind it (designed by LUBRANO CIAVARRA Architects) and building a 50,000-square-foot events centre (by INC Architecture & Design) was a massive three-year-long endeavor. From the moment they step into one of the 512 guestrooms and suites designed by Stonehill Taylor, visitors to the TWA Hotel will find themselves immersed in the ethos of the rich culture, architecture, sights, sounds, and ambiance of 1962.
