Increation had clients come to them with a unique request; they wanted a sanctuary in the form of a luxury bathroom to be built in the very top of their 4-story Chiswick home. They are phenomenally successful individuals, parents and world explorers and wanted a space to be at peace and to fully unwind with no interruptions. The full extension took 18 months, due to every council and planning restriction imaginable having to be negotiated, but it resulted in the most incredible space the couple could have hoped for.
The brief included finding space for a freestanding bath, sauna, steam room and large walk in shower plus a vanity unit and make up table which was incredibly difficult to achieve and required intelligent space planning. An extension in their client’s roof was created which is a space they can call their own, a space for sanctuary and a space for relaxation from their busy lives. Splitting the space into two to suit the needs of both clients, Increation created a curved swan neck wall which cocooned bathing and sauna area while retaining an open plan feel for her and a full height bespoke glass shower unit with rain shower and steam room for him. A bathroom was created that was both luxurious and unique, perfectly fitting the tastes of clients.
